Blenda Dos Santos defeats Faure, wins EBU European title in light-heavyweight

France’s Daniel Blenda Dos Santos (22-1) won the EBU European title in light-heavyweight division beating on Saturday night (June 15) in Oise, France, his countryman Thomas Faure (24-6-1) via unanimous decision.

Two judges scored the fight 119:109 for Blenda Dos Santos and one 117:111 also for Blenda.

Blenda Dos Santos won the EBU title in April last year beating in Germany, Tom Dzemski. But title became vacant because he didn’t defend it. So the fight with Faure was for vacant title.
