Espinoza stops Sanchez, defends WBO World title

Mexico’s Rafael Espinoza (25-0, 21 KOs) defended his WBO World featherweight title, stopping on Friday night (June 21) in Las Vegas, his countryman Sergio Chirino Sanchez (22-2) in fourth round.

Espinoza dropped Sanchez three times. Once in round one, once in round three and once in round 4.

In undercard Andres Cortes (22-0) defeated Abraham Nova (23-3) via unanimous decision in the fight for WBO NABO super-featherweight title. Judges scored the fight 96:94, 97:93 and 97:93 in favor of Cortes.

Troy Isley (13-0) got a dominant points victory over Javier Martinez (10-1-1) in the fight for WBO NABO middleweight title.
