The Bulgarians had an outstanding day at the European Junior Boxing Championships

The Bulgarians amazed in the third competition day at the EUBC European Junior Boxing Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, all of their best talents joined the last eight.

The number of the women’s boxers is 130 and joining them, 240 boys are also competing at the EUBC European Junior Boxing Championships in Sarajevo.

Israel has a progressive junior team and their Adir Agronov impressed in the third day of boxing in Sarajevo where he stopped a local opponent, Aleksa Jovanovic at the light flyweight (48kg) and joined the last eight.

One of the most experienced Polish junior boxers is Filip Bochenek who dominated all of the three rounds against Croatia’s Tristan Talan at the light flyweight (48kg) but his strong teammate, Jan Januszewski had a surprise loss to Hungary’s Robert Buzas at the lightweight (60kg).

Martin Sahakyan faced one of the gold medal favourites at the lightweight (60kg), Georgia’s Akaki Basaria but after their hectic contest, the Armenian boxer’s hand was raised who won this challenge by 3:2 split decision.

Greece’s European Schoolboys Champion Nearchos Petros Konstantinoudis is one of the biggest names in the entire competition but he had to do his very best to beat Armenia’s Vahe Tadevosyan on Day3.

Hungary’s two favourites, their medallists from the previous major championships, Abel Koromi (52kg) and the hero from the last Junior World Boxing Championships, Dominik Gombai (54kg) both won their meetings easily in the third day of boxing.

Slovakia’s Kristian Harasnik knew the weak points of his opponent, Poland’s Oskar Manka who came from a boxing family. The Slovakian bantamweight (54kg) boxer won two out of the three rounds on the judges’ scorecards and he managed to join the last eight in Sarajevo.

Bulgaria’s best junior boxers in the national team such as Antonio Damyanov (50kg), Georgi Galabov (52kg), Yanko Iliev (54kg), Dzhan Ahmedov (57kg) and Vladimir Davidov (60kg) all won their contests with impressive performance on Day3.
