Conlan is preparing for a final attempt
Michael Conlan (18-3-0) is preparing for one final attempt at achieving his world title dream. After an upset loss to Jordan Gill (27-2-1) and prior defeats to Luis Lopez (27-2-0) and Leigh Wood (25-2-0), the 32-year-old Irishman is evaluating new trainers, including Buddy McGirt, Stephen Smith and Grant Smith.
Conlan is taking his time to decide, possibly not returning until early 2025. He’s still active in boxing business, working with Frank Warren and managing Conlan Boxing events. Conlan feels refreshed and plans to ease back into competition, aiming to avoid immediate fights with world champions.
He wants his next move to be deliberate, ensuring his career ends on his terms, with a final run at a title.
