Ruiz returns on August 3
Former world unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz (35-2) will return in ring after almost two years pause.
Ruiz will face Jarrell Miller (26-1-1) on August 3 in Los Angeles.
It will be on the card headlined by Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov, which will fight for WBA World and WBO Interim World super-welterweight titles.
Ruiz said that he is more motivated then ever to become again a world champion.
His aim is to have another fight in December, if all goes well with Miller fight.
Ruiz las fought in September 2022 beating via unanimous decision Cuba’s Luis Ortiz.
He won the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO world heavyweight titles on June 2019, beating Anthony Joshua via TKO in round seven. Ruiz then lost the rematch clear via unanimous decision in December that year.
