Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga on September 14 in Las Vegas
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) will defend his WBC, WBA and WBO world super-middleweight titles on September 14 against Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) at “T-Mobile Arena” in Las Vegas.
Canelo informed via social media on Thursday about this next opponent. But it’s been reported that he will be tripped of his IBF title belt, after deciding not to face mandatory challenger, Cuban William Scull.
Alvarez last fought in May this year defeating Jaime Munguia (43-1) via unanimous decision. Berlanga fought in February, stopping Padraig McCrory in sixth round.
