IBF orders the fight Scull vs. Shishkin

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has ordered the IBF #1 super middleweight William Scull (22-0, 9 KOs) to face Russia’s, Vladimir Shishkin (16-0, 10 KOs) for the vacant IBF world title, previously held by Canelo Alvarez.

Scull’s promoter, AGON Sports, and Shishkin’s promoter, Salita Promotions, have been given until August 27 to reach an agreement; otherwise, the fight will go to a purse bid. Canelo, who was the undisputed 168lb champion, was recently stripped of the title for not facing the IBF mandatory challenger, Scull.
