The EUBC European Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships is underway in Banja Luka

The EUBC European Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships are underway in Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Boxers who were born in 2010 and in 2011 are eligible to participate in the EUBC European Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, host Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, England, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, and Turkey are participating in the women’s part of the competition.

Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, England, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey are entered into the schoolboys competition.

Azerbaijan’s Ibrahim Badalli impressed in the recent session, the 14-year-old boxer eliminated Hungary’s unbeaten future hope Hunor Asztalos in one of the top contests at the 52kg weight class.

Montenegro’s Strahinja Mardak exceeded all of the expectations with his performance in the session, the 44kg boxer bowed out one of the favourites, Azerbaijan’s Ramiz Aghadadashov winning all of the three rounds.

Scotland’s Rocco McDonald is an experienced schoolboy at the 50kg weight class but he lost to Azerbaijan’s Yusif Hasanli and failed to get any medal in Banja Luka.

Georgia’s trio such as Mirian Voloshin (50kg), Nika Sadoiani (60kg) and Gor Kazaryan (66kg) all succeeded during the sessions and eliminated strong opponents in Banja Luka.

Italy’s Christian Ricci won the next tight contest of the last competition day, he eliminated Romania’s Eduard Marian Schiopu at the 66kg weight division. His teammate, Valentino Risoluti had also a tight bout in Banja Luka but he succeeded against Scotland’s Reo Martin at the 54kg.
