Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev made a revenge in Al Ain today
Uzbekistan’s Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev made a revenge for a previous loss at the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in Al Ain, UAE on Day7.
Al Ain is a historic oasis city in the UAE near to the boarder of Oman and welcomes the best talents from the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 age groups.
Tajikistan’s Amirbek Makhramov and Jordan’s Saad Al-Hadidi fought for the first medal in the quarter-finals of the light bantamweight (52kg). The Tajik boy was a hard target for the Jordanian and his strength decided the bout which was one-sided in all of the three rounds.
India’s Raveen won the next tough contest in this weight class, he was slightly better in the exchanges than Kazakhstan’s Bekarys Adilbay.
Kyrgyzstan’s Izat Kamchybekov ruled the middle of the ring against India’s Sahil Duhan and he had the strong will to get a medal in Al Ain but he injured in the third round of their lightweight (60kg) quarter-final.
Kazakhstan’s Akzhurek Kalabay is one of their top junior boxers in the national team who moved forward well enough to beat his Ukrainian southpaw opponent, Vladyslav Zheleznov.
Kyrgyzstan’s southpaw Mukhammadkodir Abdumanabov defeated Uzbekistan’s Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev in the final of the recent Children of Asia Games but they had to meet each other already in the quarter-finals in Al Ain. The Uzbek worked a lot on feet and he prepared for a revenge due to his previous loss and he kept the full concentration to win their repeat contest within a short period of time.
Uzbekistan’s 16-year-old Asilbek Abdusamadov looked confident from the first seconds against Kyrgyzstan’s Fazliddin Vokhidov and after the standing counts the Iranian referee stopped their middleweight (75kg) quarter-final in the third round.
Ukraine’s Volodymyr Ovodov won the traditional Bornemissza Memorial Tournament this May and he had the dominance against Tajikistan’s Shokhrukh Shokirov today.
