Olympians are on the board in the upcoming Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup

One of the next top international competitions, the Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup will be the next strong event this month.

The Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup will be the next World Boxing event in the annual calendar of the elite women and men boxers in the capital city of Mongolia in September 21-27.

Australia, China, England, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, host Mongolia, Peru, Singapore, Wales and some others are planning to participate in the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup in Mongolia.

Japan’s Asian Champion Rinka Kinoshita, Mongolia’s Paris Olympian Yesugen Oyuntsetseg and China’s National Champion Ruan Mulan are the most experienced women boxers among the participants in Ulaanbaatar.

Mongolia’s Asian Champion Enkh-Amar Kharkhuu, Japan’s Paris Olympian Shudai Harada and Wales’ Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Owain Harris-Allan are aiming for the gold medal at the busy men’s featherweight (57kg) in Ulaanbaatar.

The competition venue of the Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup is the UG Arena in the heart of the capital city which has the capacity of 3,000 seats.

The Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup will return to the international agenda after a short break and Mongolia is ready to host their next top event.

All of the teams can arrive to Ulaanbaatar on September 21 while the Technical Meeting and the Official Draw scheduled on September 22. The competition period is September 23-26 while the departure date from Mongolia is September 27.

The women boxers will be able to participate in the event in five different weight categories: 50kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg and 66kg.

The male boxers will have the chance to compete also in five different weight divisions: 51kg, 57kg, 63.5kg, 71kg and 80kg.

All of the delegations will be welcomed in the Ulaanbaatar International Airport and the transportation to the hotel is free for the teams.

The Ulaanbaatar Boxing Cup will be a money prize event, the gold medallists will earn 1000 USD, the silver medallists 500 USD while the cash payment for the bronze is 200 USD.
