The junior talents will start their campaigns at the German U17 International Open tomorrow

The boxers are ready to start their campaigns at the German Boxing Association’s new event, the U17 Junior International Open Tournament in Lindow.

Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, host Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru and Ukraine will compete in the new German international tournament.

Lindow is a small town in Brandenburg region and it is located in an isthmus between two lakes but most importantly, Germany’s capital, Berlin is very near.

The young female and male boxers who were born in 2008 and in 2009 are eligible to compete at the German Junior International Open.

Czech Republic’s Eliska Gubova participated in a few international events despite her young age and she has the potential to impress in Lindow. Her teammates such as Sabina Vochova (54kg) and Katerina Marynets (57kg) are also National Champions and they are in promising stage in technical and tactical levels.

Cinnia Hoffmann and Emely Jacob changed their weight classes since the German Junior National Championships but Xenia Scharapinski (54kg) and Lorin Sayim (57kg) are also their great female talents who need to be watched in Lindow.

Australia’s Mae Allen MacKenzie and Senadh-Leigh McEleney both claimed gold medals in the recent Women’s Junior National Championships and the duo could be a surprise in the German Junior International Open.

Netherlands’ Liz Thijssen competed at the Golden Girl Box Cup this year and she is her nation’s best female boxer in this age group.

Calvin Matern (46kg), Michael Deisling (52kg), Emilio Sippel (54kg), Beker Nemer (57kg), Justin Kiz (70kg), Dietrich Herrmann (75kg) and Ahmed Abdulgamidov (+80kg) are all the reigning German Junior National Champions therefore their expectations are high in the upcoming international event.

Judd Alderton (66kg) could be Australia’s ace in the men’s junior part of the competition but another Oceanian boxer, New Zealand’s Motekiai Huni (54kg) also have the chance to make an impact in this tournament.
