Xander Zayas defeats Sosa, Carrington and Mayer with majority decision wins

Puerto Rico prodigy Xander Zayas (20-0, 12 KOs) dominated the fight against Damian Sosa (25-3) on Friday night in Madison Square Garden in New York, defending his NABF and WBO NABO super-welterweight titles.

22-year-old impressed in a unanimous decision victory over Sosa. All three judges scored the fight 100:90. Zayas is nearing the big fights.

In co-main event Mikaela Mayer (20-2) defeated Sandy Ryan (7-2-1) and won WBO World welterweight title. Mayer won via majority decision. Two judges saw her as winner (96:94, 97:93) and one scored the fight as draw (95:95).

In the main event Bruce Carrington (13-0) won via majority decision against Ugandan Sulaiman Segawa (17-5-1) in a very close fight. The fight was for NABF, WBC Silver and WBO Inter-Continental featherweight titles. Two judges saw Carrington as winner with score 97:93 and one scored as draw 95:95.
