The Belt & Road Youth Festival has several activities before the start of the competition
China amazed in the recent Olympic Games and the country claimed three out of the six female gold medals in Paris a few weeks ago.
China’s new boxing project, the Belt & Road International Youth Boxing Festival holds several activities besides to the competition in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province.
Before the competition and all of the bouts, the management of the Chinese Boxing Federation, the Xinjiang Boxing Federation and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Municipal Government arranged a Referee & Judge Seminar, a Boxing Forum and also an international training camp in Urumqi.
The officials, the participants and the crowd shared their opinions about youth boxing, the development, the way how to build up new projects and introduced the recent successes during the Boxing Forum.
Mr. Chen Liren, the President of the Chinese Boxing Federation, participated in the Boxing Forum and opened the agenda with his welcome speech. The Technical Delegate of the Paris Olympics, Mrs. Liang Yuan, the Secretary General of the Chinese Boxing Federation Mr. Hang Bo and Mr. Mijiti Abuduxikeer, the Director of the Xinjiang Boxing Sports Management Center represented the host country in the Boxing Forum.
The Instructor of the Referee & Judge Seminar from the United States, Mr. Ray Silvas, the ASBC Media Director, Mr. Tibor Kincses, Kyrgyzstan’s head coach Mr. Daniyar Tologon Uulu and the two Cuban coaches of the Chinese national team, Mr. Raul Angel Fernandez Liranza and Mr. Luisbey Sanchez also attended in the Boxing Forum.
The important international elite and youth training camp is holding in Urumqi with the support of the Chinese Boxing Federation.
The venue of the international camp is the Xinjiang International Boxing Training Centre which has excellent facilities and enough places to host several other countries as well. China, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Thailand, and Uzbekistan are participating in the training camp with youth and elite boxers.
