WBO orders Zhanibek Alimkhanuly to face Hamzah Sheeraz

WBO has ordered middleweight champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 KOs) to defend the title against Hamza Sheeraz (21-0, 17 KOs).

WBO gave teams 15 days to negotiate. In letter it says that shall they fail to reach agreement then will be ordered a purse bid.

Alimkhanuly is WBO and IBF champion. He defended IBF title on October 4, stopping Andrei Mikhailovich in ninth round.

Sheeraz last fought on September 21, stopping Tyler Denny in second round in the fight for EBU European, WBC Silver and Commonwelath titles.
