Mbenge new IBO World welterweight champion

Tulani Mbenge (21-2) of South-Africa is the new IBO World welterweight champion. Mbenge on Saturday night in Copper Box Arena in UK defeated local favorite Michael McKinson via unanimous decision.

All three judges saw Mbenge as clear winner. One scored the fight 117:111 and two others scored 116:112, all in favor of South-African.

In the same event Catherine Tacone Ramos (6-3-1) of Brazil got a surprise victory over Shannon Courtenay (8-3). The fight was scored 58:56 in favor of Brazilian.
