Scull is the new IBF World super-middleweight champion
Cuba’s William Scull (23-0) is the new IBF World super-middleweight champion. Scull on Saturday night in Brandenburg, Germany defeated Russia’s Vladimir Shishkin (16-1) via unanimous decision.
The boxer from AGON Sports survived last round scare and managed to get the vacant IBF title.
All three judges saw him as winner (116:113, 116:112 and 115:113).
Scull and Shishkin fought for the title that was made vacant, because superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez refused to face Scull which was mandatory challenger.
