Murtazaliev shocks Tszyu, stops him in round four

Russia’s Bakhram Murtazaliev (23-0) shocked Australia’s star fighter Tim Tszyu (24-2), dropping him four times and stopping him in round three.

Tszyu was seen as big favorite against IBF World super-welterweight champion Murtazaliev on the main fight of event held in Orlando on Saturday night.

But Murtazaliev surprised him. IBF champion dropped Tszyu three times in round two and once in round three, and referee Chris Young stopped the fight 1:55 in round three.

“Every time I step into the ring, I’m willing to die in here,” a shattered Tszyu said after the defeat. “No excuses. Boxing is not meant to be perfect, but you live and you learn. After the first shot, things didn’t go according to plan.”

For Tszyu was second defeat in a row. He was defeated via split decision by Sebastian Fundora in the fight for WBC and WBO world titles on March this year.
