Exciting bantamweight preliminaries in Budva with Aslanli, Dzhumayev and Fazylov on the board

The Round of 32 at the men’s bantamweight were in the program of the sixth session at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva today evening.

Kazakhstan’s Bauyrzhan Muratov and Venezuela’s Jose Oropeza had the similar rhythm in the first round but the Central Asian was better in these exchanges in the bout of the southpaw boxers. Muratov controlled the second round with his combinations and he did not make any huge risks in the third to win this preliminary bantamweight (54kg) battle easily.  

Azerbaijan’s European Youth Champion Omar Aslanli had an extra motivation against Cuba’s Kevin Alejandro Sanchez to show his impressive skills in a final-level contest. Azerbaijan’s youth No.1. landed punches from all of the possible angles during their meeting and he eliminated the Cuban bantamweight (54kg) boxer.

Kyrgyzstan’s Junior World Champion and Asian Junior Champion Amantur Dzhumayev demonstrated his power in the last session of the day and he stopped Slovenia’s Tine Jakomini. The next top bantamweight (54kg) boxer, Uzbekistan’s Sobirjon Tastanov found the wholes on Poland’s Oskar Grodzicki’s defence and he joined also the last 16.

Tajikistan’s Anushervon Fazylov is an Asian medallist boxer at the bantamweight (54kg) who proved his outstanding technical skills against Lesotho’s Reabetsoe Mokhitli. The Tajik was not only taller and smarter than his African opponent but his strength decided their contest quickly in the first round.

Moldova’s Ion Peni was dominant against North Macedonia’s Merdian Alimi in the next bantamweight (54kg) bout, stopping his rival. IBA neutral’s Sean McCusker landed dozens of punches against Brazil’s Guilherme Torres and he won a many fight in the Ring A.

Mexico’s Roberto Carbajal impressed in the preparation tournaments and he dominated his first appearance in Budva against Guinea’s Abdoulaye Diallo. Russia’s Viacheslav Rogozin and Hungary’s Kevin Kozak won the last bouts of the evening session in Budva.
