Gutierrez and Toirova were the happiest girls in the fifth session

Uzbekistan’s Oysha Toirova won a final-level contest at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva where Spain’s Noelia Gutierrez was the quickest winner.

Poland’s Martyna Koczkodaj competed in several international events in the recent three years and she tried to gain the control in the first round against Morocco’s Amira Eddanguir. The North African had the longer hands in this flyweight (52kg) bout but Koczkodaj was more experienced than Eddanguir and that was decisive.

Hungary’s Sara Nyogeri defeated her Serbian opponent, Nikolina Dzida in a preparation tournament but she was not in shape in the first round and she received punches. The 17-year-old Hungarian increased her tempo in the beginning of the second round but Dzida’s finish was enough to win this fight.

Spain’s Noelia Gutierrez was born in a boxing family and she had excellent results in the previous years starting with a silver from the 2021 European Junior Championships. The Spaniard spent a very short time in the ring against Estonia’s Ksenija Vesselova and the referee confirmed her RSC victory at the women’s flyweight (52kg).

Kyrgyzstan’s Medina Abyldayeva is their best female hopes in the recent 10 years and the Asian medallist talent smashed her opponent from Czechia, Vendula Hovorkova at the women’s featherweight (57kg) today.

Uzbekistan’s Oysha Toirova won the Asian titles in 2021, 2022 and in 2023 as well and she returned to the business with impressive performance today. The 18-year-old Uzbek was highly confident and strong enough against Russia’s Aleksandra Frolova at the women’s light middleweight (70kg) to win this final-level bout.

The Youth Bolivarian Games competitor Martin Almonacid of Chile started the first round brilliantly against North Macedonia’s Naum Stojanoski and he had the advantage on the scorecards. Stojanoski changed his rhythm in the second round and the North Macedonian turned back this light middleweight (71kg) contest.
