Torekhan Sabyrkhan conquered the world in Budva

Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Ireland and Mexico are on the top of the podiums of the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva, Montenegro.

Mexico’s Boxam Youth Tournament winner Valeria Amparan made a historic result to join the finals of the women’s minimumweight (48kg). The 17-year-old Mexican surprised her final opponent Uzbekistan’s two-time Asian Champion Jasmin Tokhirova in the first round and she had the hard work to win her nation’s first ever female youth title.

Russia’s Snezhana Kuznetsova kept her Chinese opponent in her best distance and she defeated Chen Yanfen at the women’s flyweight (52kg) final. In the next Russia vs. China battle, Viacheslav Rogozin was smaller than China’s Zhang Hanrui but his pressure made for him a gold medal at the men’s bantamweight (54kg).

Russia’s Junior World Champion 17-year-old Platon Kozlov was too experienced for Puerto Rico’s Yandiel Lozano in the battle of the southpaw boxers and he earned the title of the men’s lightweight (60kg).

Ireland’s Siofra Lawless used her longer hands to handle all of the tactical issues against DPR Korea’s Pak Sin A at the women’s light welterweight (63kg) and she celebrated an emotional triumph in Budva.

Kazakhstan’s Torekhan Sabyrkhan and Cuba’s David Manuel Espinosa have done the best final of the day, the two virtuoso welterweight (67kg) boxers delighted the crowd. Sabyrkhan defeated his Caribbean opponent once this year and returning to Montenegro, he captured the Youth World title today.

Kazakhstan’s Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev accomplished his mission in Budva with his impressive success over Uzbekistan’s Djafarbek Shakhbazov at the men’s middleweight (75kg). Aruzhan Zeinollayeva won the next Kazakhstan vs. Uzbekistan battle against Rukhshona Parpiyeva at the light heavyweight (81kg).
