The first part of the quarter-finals were held at the Hell Boxing Kings
After the preliminary stage, the first part of the quarter-finals took place at the DVTK Arena in Miskolc, Hungary today.
The best eight boxers advanced to the Live Show at the Hell Boxing Kings after the preliminary stages, the top 32 elite male boxers began their campaigns in today, and the competition will last until December 22.
Czechia’s Petr Novak had a strong preparation against Azerbaijan’s Seyidagha Naghiyev and he used his vbest combinations today. Novak used his distance better and he overcame the Azeri opponent in the attacks during their welterweight (67kg) quarter-final. Novak’s left-handed hooks were dangerous for Naghiyev in the third and fourth rounds therefore the Czech won this quarter-final.
Azerbaijan’s Olympian and European Games bronze medallist Tayfur Aliyev travelled to Kazakhstan for a preparation event in September and the 27-year-old boxer is one of the stars of the lightweight (60kg) in the Hell Boxing Kings. The Azeri star faced Hungary’s Gergo Szaraz in the first quarter-final of this weight class and he worked well from all of the ranges to beat the local opponent.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Dzemal Bosnjak is one of the real veterans of the Hell Boxing Kings with his age of 39 and he is the lone representant in the quarter-finals from his proud nation. The tough boxer tried to use his more than 20 years of international routine against Slovakia’s Lukas Labasko at the first super heavyweight (+91kg) fight. The southpaw Bosnjak tried to destroy his opponent’s defence in the corners during their opener but Labasko returned to the game with energetic attacks and he turned back the quarter-final.
Hungary’s multiple National Champion Levente Kiss fights at the super heavyweight in the Hell Boxing Kings in comparison to his previous events where he preferred the heavyweight. He prepared well against Romania’s Emanuel Mican and despite he did not deliver his very best, he managed to win their meeting landing more punches than his opponent.
