Fabian Williams and Jenairo Gomes eliminated tough opponents at the Dutch National Championships
The first finals were held in the third competition day at the Netherlands National Championships in Den Haag and the last part of the semi-finals were also on the schedule of the competition this weekend.

Bettah Boxing Gym’s Nicolette Van de Water has experience from several previous national events and the Eindhoven Box Cup as well therefore she had the stamina and the routine to beat Nouhajla Largate in the women’s middleweight (75kg) final.
Muscle Fit Sports’ Hamza Shafai won all of the three rounds against Kamikaze Warriors’ Mohamed Sakr in the final of the youth welterweight (67kg) before Thomas Mooi had a tough and tight success over Lucien Van der Es at the light middleweight (71kg).
Raffy Van Dorpel is an 18-year-old talent from the Golden Gloves Eindhoven who developed rapidly in all aspects of boxing and he had the technical skills and strength to beat Mark Brons from the RBV Van’t Hof at the youth middleweight (75kg) title bout.
Ferenc Soepboer is a well-known National Champion in the Netherlands but he suffered a loss to Curacao Boxing Association’s World Olympic Qualifier competitor Fabian Williams at the elite welterweight (67kg) in Den Haag.
Jenairo Gomes represented the Netherlands in various events in Germany, in Spain and in other countries as well and the youngster defeated one of the favourites of the light middleweight (71kg), Finn Bos in the semi-finals.
Zekaria El-Haj won several competitions during his career and he was too strong for Mazloum Kanyar in the semi-finals of the elite middleweight (75kg) which means that he will now meet for the gold medal Kamikaze Warriors’ Abdel Sakr as next.
