Huang Hsiao Wen is on the top of the World Boxing Cup Finals
The World Boxing Cup Finals finished with its thirteen title contests in Sheffield, England on the fourth day of the competition.
World Boxing has 55 members currently and among them England, Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Japan, Mongolia, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, Germany, Wales, Finland and many other top nations are also there in Sheffield to compete against strong rivals.
Japan’s former Asian Youth Champion Hikaru Shinohara is only 22-year-old but she has five years of experience in the international stage and that was the difference between her and China’s newcomer Xiong Guanxia at the women’s 50kg final.
Chinese Taipei’s Huang Hsiao Wen eliminated Brazil’s veteran Tatiana Chagas in the semi-finals of the women’s bantamweight (54kg) and she continued her winning path against another Paris Olympian boxer, Mongolia’s Yesugen Oyuntsetseg.
South Korea’s Oh Yeon Ji won the Asian Games and the Asian Boxing Championships a few times and she is a two-time Olympian at the women’s lightweight (60kg). The South Korean used her best rhythm to beat Brazil’s Rebeca De Lima Santos in the day of the finals to beat the South American youngster.
South Korea’s second gold medal was achieved by Seong Su Yeon who is member of the national team since many years and she had the skills to beat Brazil’s Viviane Pereira at the women’s middleweight (75kg).
Mongolia’s Battulga Aldarkhishig delivered his best performance and a career highlight result in Sheffield where he defeated England’s Ellis Trowbridge in the final of the men’s flyweight (51kg) on Day4.
Brazil’s Paris Olympian and American Champion Luiz Gabriel Oliveira was dominant at the men’s 57kg weight class and defeated a dangerous rival, Shudai Harada of Japan to take his next tournament title.
Brazil’s next gold medal was taken by Breno De Carvalho who had a successful mission against Japan’s Shion Nishiyama at the 63.5kg weight class while England’s Odel Kamara defeated Japan’s No.1 Sewon Okazawa in the next final bout.
