Dzhurov, Hodak, Gemes and Olah are the last semi-finalists of the Hell Boxing Kings
The fourth and last part of the quarter-finals took place at the Hell Boxing Kings in the DVTK Arena in Miskolc, Hungary where Dzhurov, Hodak, Gemes and Olah are the semi-finalists.
Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Dzhurov faced a similar strong opponent in the fourth part of the quarter-finals, Romania’s Samuel Roman to decide the last spot in the semi-finals of the welterweight (67kg). There were so many actions in their contest and the bout was another good exemplar for the real promotions of boxing. Dzhurov had dangerous right-handed hooks in their contest and the Bulgarian won the tightest bout of the night.
Fran Hodak had the height advantage against Slovakia’s Peter Weiss who shocked his opponents in the preliminary stage of the Hell Boxing Kings on June. The Croatian prepared well against the strong Slovakian and he used smart style of boxing to stop his opponent. Hodak landed several body shots and he tried to keep the distance with his footwork while Weiss was not able to defend himself well enough therefore the Croatian marched to the semi-finals of the super heavyweight.
Hungary’s Youth World silver medallist Levente Gemes is one of the aces at the middleweight (75kg) and the 19-year-old youngster used his strong jabs to keep the control against Greece’s aggressive Theocharis Tsaousidis. Gemes increased his rhythm in the beginning of the second round to avoid the permanent Greek attacks in this key quarter-final. Tsaousidis was never stopped attacking, he had the pressure but Levente’s better technical skills decided their contest in Miskolc.
Another 19-year-old Hungarian, Levente Olah faced Serbia’s Veljko Gligoric in the last quarter-final of the lightweight (60kg). The Hungarian is famous of his punching power therefore the Serbian tried to avoid his attacks in the first round but Olah’s speed was also enough good to catch Gligoric. The fighting was the dominant in the later part of the actions and in that game Olah became better than the experienced Serbian boxer.
