Espinoza made Ramirez quit, Navarette KOs Valdez

Rafael Espinoza (26-0, 22 KOs) made Robeisy Ramirez (14-3) quit in a rematch for WBO World featherweight title.

Fight held on Saturday night in Arizona, USA ended surprisingly in round 6. After Espinoza threw one jab in eye of Ramirez, Cuban signaled that he can’t continue.

Until the stoppage two judges had Ramirez in front (both 48:47) and one had Espinoza (49:46).

Ramirez said Espinoza injured his eye with elbows earlier, but referee didn’t notice this.

“I had to make the decision I made for my health. I had double vision,” Ramirez said. “I cannot see out of my right eye.”

In co-main event Emanuel Navarette (39-2-1, 32 KOs) retained WBO World super-featherweight title defeating in a rematch Oscar Valdez (32-3) via KO in round six. Navaette dropped Valdez three times during fight.
