WBC orders Mbilli vs. Munguia for interim super-middleweight title

WBC have ordered Christian Mbilli (28-0, 23 KOs) to fight Jaime Munguia (44-1, 35 KOs) for Interim super-middleweight title.
Decision was announced on Wednesday during WBC Convention in Hamburg, Germany.

Munguia is scheduled to fight France’s Bruno Surace on Saturday in Mexico.

Top Rank head Bob Arum, which handles Mbilli with Eye of the Tiger, would like more that Mbilli fights Saul “Canelo Alvarez”.

“It’d be a good, exciting fight for Canelo,” said Top Rank head Bob Arum, reports “Boxing Scene”. “Mbilli comes to fight. It won’t be boring. It’ll be interesting. Canada – particularly French Canada – has many boxing fans, and it’d be a new fan base of support for Canelo.”
