Fury says that in the rematch with Usyk will be “a lot of hurt and pain”

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) says will be a “lot of hurt and pain” in the rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In the first fight between them, in May 18 for undisputed heavyweight title, Usyk won via split decision (114:113, 115:112 and 113:114). He dropped Fury once that time.

But Fury says this time will be difference. Fight will be for WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles.

Fury and Usyk stared at each other for 11-minutes on Thursday face-off.

Asked why there has been such a hard edge to his public appearances this week, Fury shrugged. “I’ve got nothing to say – apart from the fact that there’s going to be a whole lot of hurt and pain in this fight. That’s all I got to say. Talking’s been done. The first fight I talked, I joked – [as he did] all my career. This time, I am serious. I am going to do some fucking damage here. Watch me go to work on this fucker.”

Usyk was, typically, more relaxed as he made his own brief comments with a touch more bonhomie. “Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Now, we have just a performance; the talks, cameras, light and show. Everything is going to be taking place on Saturday night.”

The unified heavyweight champion Usyk has other plans after rematch.  He thinks of return in cruiserweight, where he was undisputed champion.

“[I’m] trying cruiserweight again,” he told Sky Sports’ Andy Scott on Monday.

“Is that real?” Scott asked incredulously. “That you would go undisputed cruiserweight, undisputed heavyweight, undisputed cruiserweight – you can do that?”

“Yeah, yeah, I try,” Usyk replied.
