Usyk defeats Fury for the second time, ready for rematch with Dubois
Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) has confirmed again that he is the King of heavyweight division.
Usyk on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia defeated Tyson Fury (34-2-1) for the second time.
This time victory was more convincing then in their first fight between each-other in May, at least according to judges score cards.
All three judges scored the fight 116:112 and Usyk kept WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles.
In the first fight Usyk dropped Fury in round nine, and he won via split decision.
After the fight Daniel Dubois, IBF World champion, got up in ring and asked Usyk for the rematch. Usyk said he is ready for a rematch. Usyk defeated Dubois via KO in round nine on August last year. But in that fight Dubois dropped Usyk with a body punch that the referee Luis Pabon considered that it was too low and irregular.
Dubois and his team insisted that the punch was regular.
Fury left the ring immediately after fight last night, but he appeared in the press conference and insisted that he won the fight.
He said that he is convinced that he won also the first fight between them. He said that judges gave “Christmas gift” to Usyk.
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren also said his fighter won by three or four rounds.
Fury didn’t tell what will be next. He said he will have a great Christmas with his family and will wait what next year brings.
