Sevara Mamatova is Uzbekistan’s new youth star

The Uzbekistan Women’s Youth National Cup was held in the western part of the country in the city of Urgench which has excellent boxing life.

Boxers who were born in 2007 and in 2008, were eligible to participate in the Uzbekistan Women’s Youth National Cup to manage the next year’s age group and altogether 114 girls participated in the competition.

Samarkand’s Maftuna Musurmonova is only 16 but she has already Asian junior title and she bagged gold medals in all of her national level competitions. The minimumweight (48kg) boxer controlled all of her three contests including the final against Ugilshod Davlatova of Surkhondarya region.

Navoy’s new female sensation, Robiya Ravshanova has enough international experience from the recent two years to beat Ferghana’s Mushtariybonu Rustamova at the bantamweight (54kg) while Zakhro Rustamova captured the gold at the featherweight (57kg).

Sevara Mamatova is one of the biggest talents in the whole world in the 2008 born boxers and she is unbeaten in the international competitions. She won the Junior World Championships, the Asian Junior Boxing Championships twice and she dominated the lightweight (60kg) final against Rakhima Bekniyazova.

Khorezm region’s local girl, Raykhona Kurbonboyeva represented Uzbekistan in top events and she had the strength to beat another national team member, Khadijabonu Bekova in the final of the light middleweight (70kg).

Bukhara’s Maftuna Yangiyeva is the next top talent in the 2008 born age group and the two-time ASBC Asian Junior Champion was dominant in all of her four contests at the middleweight (75kg). Namangan’s Youth World silver medallist Rukhshona Parpiyeva is a well-experienced boxer in the national team and controlled her final against Aynura Begjanova.

Andizhan’s Sobirakhon Shakhobiddinova is another ace in Uzbekistan’s boxing life who stopped Shokhsanam Bakhodirova in the final of the category in the first round.
