Teofimo Lopez expected to fight Subriel Matias on March 15

Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs is expected to fight Subriel Matias (21-2, 21 KOs) on March 15 for WBO super-lightweight title which Lopez holds, “ESPN” reports.

It will be the third title defense for Lopez and will headline the card of Top Rank Boxing. Location still not decided, but is expected to be held in USA.

Lopez defended his title on June 29, beating Steve Claggett of Canada via unanimous decision.

Former world champion Matias last fought in November stopping Roberto Ramirez in round two.
