Mancosu stops Villa in first round, wins IBO Continental title

Nicola Mancosu (12-5, 3 KOs) stopped Colombia’s Sergio Villa (8-2, 6 KOs) in first round and won the IBO Continental bantamweight title.

After a big missing right hook, Villa got caught from left hook and went down. He managed to get up, but Mancosu continued the attack and referee stopped the fight after 2:17 minutes in round one. 

The event was held on Saturday night in Villamassargia, Sardegna, Italy.

It was inaugural sport event on the city’s new arena. Event was promoted by OPI82 and arena was full packed.
