Keyshawn Davis is the new WBO World lightweight champion

Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) is the new WBO World lightweight champion.

Davis on Friday night in Madison Square Garden, New York dethroned Ukrainian Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 KOs) stopping him in round four.

Davis dropped Berinchyk 1:45 in round four with a powerful body punch.

For Berinchyk was first title defense, after winning the title in May by upsetting Emanuel Navarrete.

In co-main event Xander Zayas (21-0, 13 KOs) stopped Slawa Spomer (20-1, 11 KOs) in round nine of the contest for NABF and WBO NABO super-welterweight titles. Zayas is number one contender in WBO ranking.

Jared Anderson (18-1) returned to winning ways, beating Marios Kollias (12-4-1) of Greece via unanimous decision (99:91, 99:91 and 98:92).
