Six strong boxers have been selected to USA Women’s Boxing Team

Following the selection training camp, the Head Coach Mr. Billy Walsh has selected six strong US girls to their elite national team for the actions in 2025.

Laredo’s 22-year-old Jennifer Lozano moved up to the women’s 51kg weight class after her participation at the Paris Olympic Games.

Another young talent from Texas, the Houston-based Yoseline Perez represented Team USA at the 2023 Panamerican Games and she returned to the national squad.

Idaho’s Alyssa Mendoza was the team member at the Panamerican Games as well and the 22-year-old featherweight (57kg) qualified for the Paris Olympics through the World Qualifier.

Glendora’s lightweight (60kg) No.1, Jajaira Gonzalez won all of the major junior and youth championships in the past and she has qualified for the Paris Olympic Games through the Panamerican Games.  

Cleveland’s strong puncher, Morelle McCane moved down to the 65kg weight class and she impressed in her recent international events such as at the Olympics in Paris and at the Panamerican Games as well.

Seattle’s Isabella Winkler is a new face in the women’s elite national team, she will represent the strong boxing nation at the 70kg weight class.

The first participation of the women’s team will be the World Boxing Cup in Foz de Iguacu in Brazil in the end of March and beginning of April.

Their next competition, the USA Boxing International Open Tournament will be held in the Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, Colorado on April 13-19.

The online registrations for the USA Boxing International Open Tournament are open for all the teams since January 20.

The USA Boxing International Open Tournament will take place for the elite, youth and junior boxers as well in the city of Pueblo.

The teams can arrive at the competition to the Denver International Airport or to the Colorado Springs Airport and both are less than two hours by car from the competition venue.
