Sturm stops Blindert in third round, wins WBA Gold title

Felix Sturm (45-6-3, 20 KOs) stopped Benjamin Blindert (14-2-2, 10 KOs) in third round on Saturday night (February 15) in Neu-Ulm and won the WBA Gold light-heavyweight title.

46-year-old is aiming to get another title chance. With the WBA Gold title he will get up in ranking.

For Sturm was the first fight after 14 months. He dropped Blindert four times during the fight.

It was the main fight of event organized by AGON Sports.
