USA Boxing has announced Mr. Edward Fonteneaux as their youth and junior national coach

USA Boxing has announced its new junior and youth national coach after the selections and Mr. Edward Fonteneaux will lead fulfil the position.

Mr. Edward Fonteneaux has more than 12 years of coaching experience and he supported the USA Boxing High Performance in the recent three years.

“Coach Font” knows the USA Boxing environment, the athletes, the national events and he has strong connection with the High Performance team.

The 2007 and 2008 born boxers will compete in the youth age group this year and they will have plenty of options to show their skills.

USA Boxing hosted the first edition of the U19 World Boxing Championships in Pueblo and among those US participants, many of them are still in the youth age group this year as well.

The 2009 and 2010 born younger boxers are eligible to participate in the junior level of boxing this year.

Following the selection of the USA Women’s Boxing Team rooster, their male squad was revealed for the year of 2025 earlier this week.

The Head Coach Mr. Billy Walsh and the National Resident Coach Mr. Timothy Nolan have selected six strong US girls and seven boys for their elite national team in 2025.  

Their most important international competition, the USA Boxing International Open Tournament will be held in the Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, Colorado on April 13-19 where the elite, youth and junior boxers will be able to compete in two months.

The next year’s youth age group, the 2008 and 2009 born boxers could be the new stars at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games and its qualification events.
