Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Romania won several tough youth battles in Braila today evening

The youth boxers were in the spotlight at the evening part of the sixth competition day at the Dracula Open Tournament where Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Romania each won several tough contests.

Romania’s Federica Ceravolo and Ukraine’s Anna Kurapatova both had experience in the international stage of boxing. The Ukrainian found the best fighting distance earlier than the local girl and she won their youth minimumweight (48kg) semi-final by RSC.

Romania’s Natalia Semeniciuc looked more experienced than Greece’s Dimitra Kapsimali at the women’s youth flyweight (52kg) semi-final and she managed her pathway to the final with points decision.

Ukraine’s Uliana Ovsepian was slightly better than Romania’s Carla Broncea and she joined the finals of the youth featherweight (57kg)

Azerbaijan’s Hikmat Mammadov stopped Romania’s Sebastian Preda at the men’s youth minimumweight (48kg) semi-final and his No.1 teammate, Bilalkhabasi Nazarov also joined the finals at the flyweight (51kg).

Ukraine’s Herman Bodnarchuk delivered a classic KO of the sixth competition day, he had a lethal punch against Moldova’s Artiom Cartecko at the light middleweight (71kg).

Bulgaria’s Sami Khalil had good performance in the last Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva as well therefore he was too experienced for Romania’s David Bratcoveanu at the middleweight (75kg).

A promising boxer, Abbasgulu Shadlinski won the Azeri battle at the middleweight (75kg), he controlled the bout against Renat Kiyasli. Azerbaijan’s next top pugilist was Zidan Hunbatov at the bantamweight (54kg) who delighted the crowd on Day6.

Romania’s George Sebastian Balan shocked Azerbaijan’s Mirjalal Miraghayev in the first round of their light heavyweight (80kg).

Romania’s European Junior Champion Fabian Stroe is one of the aces at the lightweight (60kg) and he had a strong job against Germany’s Daniel Balko while Darius Stegari (63.5kg), Daniel Grigorie (67kg) and Alexandru Butoi (92kg) also impressed from the host nation’s youth squad.
