World-class junior finals at the Dracula Open Tournament

The level of the junior male finals was absolutely world class at the Dracula Open Tournament in Braila during the evening session.

Kazakhstan’s Arman Myrsabit amazed in the first junior male final at the pinweight (46kg). He controlled all of the three rounds against his teammate, Almaz Zhunussov and he proved a fantastic performance in the opener.

Kazakhstan’s Junior Nationals silver medallist Aslan Zhenispayev met Romania’s Denis Alexandru at the junior light flyweight (48kg) final. The Kazakh had the advantage in terms of experience in this final contest but Alexandru worked hard on feet to win the bout by split decision.

Romania’s Serban Stoica trains in the club of CSM Suceava and he exceeded the expectations with his level of boxing against Kazakhstan’s Almaty-based Edige Nurgozha at the flyweight (50kg) final in Braila.

Uzbekistan sent four junior boxers to the Dracula Open and all of the four advanced to the finals in Braila. Bobomurod Boymirzayev was technically better than Kazakhstan’s Madiyar Abdukarimov but Asilbek Abdukadirov suffered a surprise loss to a Kazakh talent, Aziz Dulat at the featherweight (57kg).

Abrorbek Sharipov switched into a higher tempo from the second round and he defeated Ukraine’s Rostyslav Horodynskyi at the lightweight (60kg) final. The top Uzbek junior, the Asian Junior Champion Saidkhuja Sadillakhudjayev dominated his light welterweight (63kg) final against Kazakhstan’s Amir Ramazan.

Greece’s Alexandros Tsaptzis delivered one of the main sensations in the junior finals in Braila where he had a success over Kazakhstan’s Temirlan Yeraliyev. The next top performance was delivered by Toregali Seidullayev who triumphed over his teammate, Abylay Talgat today.

Romania’s Andrei Iofciu had the experience to land his punches with perfect timing against Kazakhstan’s Mansur Amantay and he won the tough middleweight (75kg). Kazakhstan’s Adil Medelkhan (80kg) and Ukraine’s Oleksandr Khomenko bagged the last two remaining junior titles in Braila.
