Kabayel stops Zhang in round six, Parker makes fast work with Bakole
Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18 KOs) is continuing his impressive run. Kabayel on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia stopped Zhilei Zhang (27-3-1, 22 KOs) of China in round six and captured the WBC Interim World heavyweight title.
Zhang dropped Kabayel in round five, but Kabayel got up and stopped Zhang with strong body punch one round later.
Kabayel after the win said he is ready for world title fight.
Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) defended his WBO Interim World heavyweight title, stopping late replacement Martin Bakole (21-2, 16 KOS) in round two.
Parker was supposed to fight Daniel Dubois for IBF World heavyweight title but Dubois had to cancel cause of illness and Bakole took the fight in two days notice.
In one of most attractive fights of event on Saturday night Callum Smith (31-2) defeated Joshua Buatsi (19-1) via unanimous decision in the fight for WBO Interim World light-heavyweight title.
Vergil Ortiz Jr (23-0) defeated Israil Madrimov (10-2-1) via unanimous decision in the fight for WBC Interim World super-welterweight title.
