Szucs, Van der Toorn, Kukhta and Kaczmarska are all finalists at the Bocskai
The final line-ups in the women’s part of the 69th edition of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament are all revealed in Debrecen, Hungary today.
The finals of the strong Bocskai Memorial Tournament will be taking place on two days, March 14 and 15.
The Bocskai Memorial Tournament is one of the oldest competitions in the whole world and it has a strong brand name since the 1950s.
Hungary’s Szabina Szucs defeated Wales’ Carmen Lynch in the 2024 Silesian Women’s Open Tournament and she has done it once again on their repeat match in the semi-finals of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament.
Netherlands’ Youth World Champion Maud Van der Toorn had to meet Poland’s Paris Olympian and European silver medallist Aneta Rygielska but she used her longer hands to beat her therefore she will face for the title of the lightweight (60kg), Hungary’s Vladislava Kukhta.
The Polish girls are fantastic in the 69th Bocskai Memorial Tournament and their Oliwia Toborek controlled her semi-final against a local teenager, Nora Komjathi at the women’s middleweight (75kg).
Poland’s next amazing boxer, Agata Kaczmarska moved up to the heavyweight (+80kg) in the previous period and she eliminated Hungary’s European Youth Champion Zsofia Szira with her fantastic speed.
Wales’ teenager Milwyn Lloyd claimed a bronze medal at the U19 World Boxing Championships in Pueblo and he had a strong performance against Hungary’s former European Junior Champion Levente Olah today but Milan Petriman, Czechia’s Erik Suchy and Azerbaijan’s Ali Abdullayev also secured their places in the last four.
Czechia’s Kelvin Sequessa stopped a local opponent, Bence Perge at the 70kg weight class in Debrecen where Lithuania’s Aleksandr Trofimcuk and Hungary’s Rafael Buza are also semi-finalists.
