Eleven nations shared the titles at the 6th Riga Ladies Boxing Cup

Fantastic number of eleven nations shared the gold medals at the 6^th edition of the Riga Ladies Boxing Cup in Latvia.

Mr. Oskars Bokis developed a strong event in the previous years and he invited top nations to compete in Latvia’s capital city.

Altogether 23 elite, 27 youth, 34 junior boxers, and 22 schoolgirls participated in the Riga Ladies Boxing Cup in Latvia.

Poland won the overall medal standings with eight gold medals in Riga but Kazakhstan’s seven titles was also an impressive performance. Lithuania, Ukraine and England each bagged three titles, but Finland, Israel, Estonia, Ireland, Germany and Belgium were also on the list of the gold medallist nations.

Ireland’s Katie O’Keefe delivered one of the best performances in the Riga Ladies Boxing Cup where she stopped Finland’s experienced Laura Myllymaeki at the elite 51kg final.

Finland’s European Championships bronze medallist Emma Jokiaho outpointed her teammate Elsa Narhi at the elite bantamweight (54kg).

England’s Amy Nolan is a young talent at the light middleweight (70kg) but she had the skills to win the gold medal in Riga against Ireland’s Laura Moran.

Germany’s Sara Glaser moved down to the middleweight (75kg) and she won the title in Riga after beating Marija Lobeckaja of Estonia in a quick bout.

Lithuania’s Jelizaveta Jakimova (54kg), Finland’s Janette Vilen (57kg), Israel’s Malak Fashfsha (60kg), Poland’s Laura Szydlowska (70kg) and England’s Thabiso Moyo (75kg) were the bests among the youth talents in Riga.

Kazakhstan impressed among the juniors in Riga where their best talents, the A-squad competed for the medals. Gulbanu Bekmurat (50kg), Maral Tolepbergen (52kg), Ayaulym Ospanova (63kg), Dilyara Tursunbek (66kg), Kamila Ospanova (70kg) and Diana Nadyrbek (+80kg) all won gold medals with dominance.
