Team India joins the pre-training camp of the upcoming Brazilian World Boxing Cup
The Brazilians will arrange the first World Boxing Cup in 2025 which will be held in Foz do Iguacu between March 29 and April 6.
The picturesque Foz da Iguacu is the city in the Brazilian state in Parana and it is one of the largest waterfalls in the whole world.
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, France, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Norway, Panama, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, United States of America, and Uzbekistan have registered to the upcoming competition.
Team India with their young talents has already left their country to join the Brazilian squad in the one-week long international training camp to acclimatize to the local environment in Foz da Iguacu, starting from March 22.
The first competition day of the event is March 30 while the finals are scheduled to be held in Brazil on April 5.
Brazil earned several medals and titles in the major championships in the previous years and the South American boxing power is among the Top10 nations in the globe currently.
The World Boxing Cup is a unique competition and the first stage of the series will be held in Brazil and to be continued in the Czech Republic. The main event of the year, the Elite World Boxing Championships will be held in Liverpool, England this September.
