Khalokov, Muydinkhudjayev and Mirzakhalilov are strengthening Team Uzbekistan at the Brazilian World Boxing Cup

Uzbekistan will be sending a very powerful team to the upcoming Brazilian World Boxing Cup which will be held in Foz da Iguacu from March 30.  

Abdumalik Khalokov won the big four during his career, the Olympic Games, the Asian Games, the World Boxing Championships and the Asian Boxing Championships as well. The Uzbek No.1 will return to the competitions at the 60kg weight class in Brazil and he is the biggest name on the entry list.

Uzbekistan’s Asadkhudja Muydinkhudjayev is also an Olympic Champion and World Champion boxer who moved down to the 65kg weight class in the recent months. The 24-year-old star is another top name and a boxing icon who will be making his debut in a Brazilian event for the first time.

Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov is a World Champion, Asian Games winner and Asian Champion veteran who will turn to 30 this year but he is still hungry for the further challenges and he will be boxing at the new 55kg weight class in Brazil.

Another Asian Champion, Ikboljon Kholdarov also returned to the team after his new national title and the former World silver medallist will be competing at the 70kg weight class in Foz da Iguacu.

Asilbek Jalilov is the Asian Champion in the smallest weight class and the 21-year-old boxer has fantastic technical skills, he is untouchable for many of his opponents.

The super talented Javokhir Ummataliyev and Turabek Khabibullayev both are defending Asian Champions despite their young age.

Jakhongir Zokirov won all of his Asian U22, Youth and Junior Championships in his career and he will replace the two-time Olympic Champion Bakhodir Jalolov at the +90kg.

The Youth World Champions such as Fazliddin Erkinboyev and Akmaljon Isroilov both are still teenagers but have enough experience and skills to beat anyone in Brazil.
