The pre-training camp of the Brazilian World Boxing Cup is underway in Foz da Iguacu

The final countdown for the first World Boxing Cup has started, only three days left until the competition period and it will be held in Foz do Iguacu between March 29 and April 6.

The joint training camp before the competition is underway in Brazil and several of the squads including Great Britain, India and others are already there in the sparring sessions.

The pre-training camp supports the foreign teams to acclimatize to the local environment, the time difference and meet with powerful sparring partners.

The picturesque Foz da Iguacu is the city in Parana and it is one of the largest waterfalls in the whole world.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, France, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Norway, Panama, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, United States of America, and Uzbekistan have registered to the upcoming competition.

There were some final changes on the entry list due to injuries but several of the stars including Olympic medallists, World Champions and Panamerican Games’ heroes will be there in the start of the World Cup.

The first competition day of the event is March 30 while the finals are scheduled to be held in Brazil on April 5.

The main event of the year, the Elite World Boxing Championships will be held in Liverpool, England this September.
