Romeu, Reis and Pereira secured final spots for the host country

Jucielen Romeu, Yuri Reis and Wanderley Pereira are the local finalists at the World Boxing Cup Brazil in Foz do Iguacu.

Poland’s next semi-finalist girl, Julia Szeremeta, the Olympic silver medallist, gained the control against Kazakhstan’s Ulzhan Sarsenbek immediately in the first round. The Polish was able to keep the ruling of the contest until the last seconds and she defeated the Asian Youth Champion.

Brazil’s two-time Olympian Jucielen Romeu was too smart for England’s Vivien Parsons and she used her distance well enough to win the 57kg semi-final.

Kazakhstan’s Nursultan Altynbek eliminated India’s Manish Rathore in the semi-finals of the men’s 55kg weight class and he will now meet Uzbekistan’s defending Asian Champion Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov in the final.

Among the host nation’s team, Yuri Falcao Reis proved his strong progress and he had a clear success over England’s Patris Mughalzai at the 65kg semi-final therefore he needs only one further step to take the title against a 23-year-old Indian, Abhinash Jamwal.

Uzbekistan’s Asian Champion Javokhir Ummataliyev and Brazil’s Wanderley Pereira will meet in a dream final at the 80kg while Kazakhstan’s Daulet Tulemissov delighted the session with is KO triumph.
