The 16-year-old Edgardo Nicolas Peralta is Argentina’s biggest talent in the recent two decades

The Argentinians have young talents and their new sensation, the 16-year-old Edgardo Nicolas Peralta could be the next ace in the upcoming years.

He was born in Reconquista, Argentina on September 29 in 2008 in a real boxing family which has been supporting his delightful career.

The promising Peralta spent his whole childhood in the gym and he began boxing at the age of 4 in Argentina. He started to compete at the age of 14 but after ten years of hard training experience which supported his extraordinary success.

His coach is his father, the energetic Mr. Saul Edgardo Peralta and his amazing son trains at the Indio Box in Reconquista, Santa Fe.

The young talent helps to his father to train younger kids in the gym and currently he competes at the 60kg weight class after the new World Boxing divisions have been introduced.

Peralta trains 22 hours in his gym in a week and he had already more than 45 contests with unbeaten record.

The 16-year-old talent has just won the Argentinian Youth National Championships after beating Nicolas Jesus Gimenez and Thiago Maza at the 60kg weight class in Buenos Aires just two days ago.

The new head coach of the Argentinian team, Mr. Daniel Rafael Gonzalez underlined his fantastic talent and he took him also to the Brazilian international training camp.

Boxing is the most successful Olympic sport in Argentina with 24 medals including 7 gold, ahead of athletics, football, polo, cycling, sailing and field hockey.

Argentina had strong Olympic results in the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s but the South American country is chasing its first Olympic medal since 1996 when Pablo Chacon claimed a bronze.

The Argentinian talents have been preparing to the 2026 Youth Olympic Games and its qualifying events where Edgardo Nicolas Peralta could be a star.
