Pena wants to show what he learned in Las Vegas

Angelo Pena (11-0, 6 KOs) wants to show what he learned in training camp in Las Vegas when he faces Karim Guerfi (33-7, 10 KOs) in Bern, Switzerland on April 18.

Pena will defend his WBO Inter-Continental super-featherweight title against Frenchman Guerfi, four-time European champion.

“Main reason for change to Las Vegas is Salas Boxing Academy. Also Las Vegas is generally known as Mecca of boxing. I wanted to go there where the best boxers and best gyms are”, said Pena in interview for “Swiss Pro Boxing”.

Pena said that Las Vegas is his new base now and Bern is his home.

“I’m happy to be again in ring, specially for Berner fans. They give me great support and I want to show them what I learned in Las Vegas”, Pena said.

He is number 12 in WBO Ranking and with a win against Guerfi he will go more up in ranking. He hopes soon to have an eliminator for a world title. And his main goal is to fight for a world title. The WBO Champion is Emanuel Navarette (39-2-1, 32 KOs) of Mexico.

Pena against Guerfi will be main fight in show promoted by Leander Strupler (Swiss Pro Boxing).

In co-main event Felix Meier (3-0) will fight Yaya Kone (3-1). In a 6 rounder.

Sami Ahmeti (7-0) will be up against Filip Bosela (4-3) in an 8-rounder and Bryant Fanga (12-2-1) will fight Samir Cuentas (4-4).
