Ireland’s Ronan Charles and England’s Mason Long delighted the first session at the European U15 Boxing Championships in Budva on Day2.

Scotland’s Cole Meechan from the Kier Hardie ABC had the good game strategy against Bulgaria’s Vangel Subashev and he used his jabs perfectly in the first round. The young Scottish talent had the massive advantage on the scorecards after two rounds and he deserved to win the opening bout of the second competition day.

Romania’s Auras Ioan Cantar eliminated Ukraine’s Bohdan Kozovyi in the next 42kg bout with excellent technical performance while Latvia’s Deniss Hascenko used his speed to beat Italy’s Flavio Grieco unanimously.

Finland’s Rolan Sigajev competed in the Pirkka and the prestigious Bornemissza Tournaments this year but Ireland’s Ronan Charles worked a lot on feet to find the best angles and he had the skills to win this outstanding contest today.

Montenegro’s Slobodan Jelusic and Israel’s Arkan Zoubi had an equal first round in their 42kg bout. The Israeli talent increased the tempo in the second and he used his longer reach better to win their hectic contest.

England’s Mason Long has great football career next to his amazing boxing pedigree and he used his counter-attacking style of boxing to keep Hungary’s top boxer, Levente Varga on long in this impressive 42kg bout.

Miron Ussatsov claimed only a silver medal at the Estonian U15 Championships but he received the right to compete in this European event. His opponent, Poland’s Bartosz Gorecki was too strong for the young Estonian in this contest at the 48kg.

Croatia’s Vito Rupcic competed already national events two years ago and he had enough number of bouts to use a better strategy than Albania’s Albion Dervishi and he deserved to win his nation’s first bout in Budva.
