Turkey’s Esma Nur Yurtsever won the best bout of the session in Budva today

Turkey’s Esma Nur Yurtsever won the best female semi-final at the European U15 Championships in Budva on Day6.

Ireland’s Elliemay Fetherston and Azerbaijan’s Nasrin Abdullazada both were confident in the previous round in Budva. The Azeri girl looked well-prepared to this semi-final and she will now meet for the title of the 40kg England’s Madeline Arnot.

Scotland’s Sinita Kaur was too smart for Ireland’s Rosaletta Casey in the first round and she took the lead in all of the judges’ scorecards. The Scottish girl worked a lot on feet in the second and third rounds and she has now the chance to get a gold against Turkey’s Berna Akerdere.

Viktoria Nagy overcame Italy’s Serrena Barbato in the attacks in the first round and her tactical preparations for this contest paid off which means the overwhelming Hungarian will compete against Ukraine’s Veronika Holub for the title of the 44kg.

Ireland’s Ellie Curtin Murray used aggressive attacks in the first round against the 13-year-old Vivien Varga but her Hungarian opponent used her jabs and technical skills better in the second and third to turn back their semi-final at the 52kg.

England’s Laylah Beecher and Turkey’s Esma Nur Yurtsever both had similar style of boxing and their tactical bout delivered the best fight of the session. Yurtsever mobilized all of her energies and her impressive finish guaranteed a place in the final for the Turkish girl.

Maicey Field had 18 bouts before her semi-final but she looked highly confident against Romania’s Patricia Grigorie at the 60kg while another Irish talent, Roisin Hegarty eliminated a Turkish opponent, Ivana Kilci at the 63kg today.

Georgia’s Liza Lobjanidze had excellent attacks against Poland’s Nadia Mucha in the first and second rounds to win their 66kg semi-final bout in Budva.
