Josh Kelly new IBF World super-welterweight champion

Josh Kelly (18-1-1, 9 KOs) is the new IBF World super-welterweight champion. Kelly on Saturday night in Newcastle dethroned Bakhram Murtazaliev (23-1), defeating him via majority decision.

Two judges saw Kelly as winner (115:111, 114:113) and one scored the fight as draw (113:113).

Kelly dropped Murtazaliev in round four, but the Russian then dropped Kelly in round nine. It was main event of the show promoted by Matchroom. In co-main event Josh Padley (18-1) stopped Jaouad Belmehdi (23-3-3) in round two in the fight for vacant EBU European super-featherweight title.

Elif Nur Turhan (13-0) defended her IBF World lightweight title, defeating Taylah Gentzen (8-2) via split decision (96:94, 93:97 and 98:92).
