Thailand’s Asian Champions shined in the quarter-finals of the Boxam Tournament
Thailand’s Asian Champions such as Chuthamat Raksat and Punrawee Ruenros amazed in the quarter-finals of the Boxam Elite Tournament in La Nucia, Alicante region, Spain on Day3.
India’s former Youth World Champion Nitu is already 25-year-old but she enjoys to compete in the highest level of boxing in the elite team after replacing their World Champion, Nikhat Zareen. The Indian southpaw felt the tempo well against Canada’s McKenzie Wright and she secured her place in the last four at the women’s 51kg.
Thailand’s Chuthamat Raksat achieved a silver medal in the last Asian Games two and half years ago and she is planning to reach the top this year. The experienced Thai proved her excellent technical skills against India’s Kusum and she marched to the semi-finals.
Thailand’s next ace, the Asian Champion Punrawee Ruenros was a hard target for India’s Vinka in the quarter-finals of the women’s 57kg weight class and she advanced to the next stage of boxing with top performance.
Netherlands’ Maud Van der Toorn and her teammate, Gabriella Weerheim both impressed in the 2022 Youth World Boxing Championships in La Nucia. Both like the Spanish venue and defeated their Kazakh and Spanish opponents easily to get medals in the Boxam.
Kazakhstan’s two-time World Champion Makhmud Sabyrkhan invested more efforts into his second contests in La Nucia and he smashed Sweden’s Alvin Wanukaga with absolutely clear dominance at the men’s 55kg quarter-final.
Canada’s new national team member,Maximus Tomines eliminated first the 2022 European Champion Martin Molina of Spain, and he continued his absolutely sensational winning path against Kazakhstan’s 2024 Youth World Champion, Beksultan Boranbek at the 55kg.
Spain’s Emmanuel Reyes is an ex-Cuban veteran boxer at the 90kg but he has still strong targets in our spot despite he is Olympic, World and European medallist. The 34-year-old boxer controlled all of the three rounds against Kazakhstan’s Ontalap Rakhmanov and he made a strong debut in La Nucia.
